Bio

Marie Chabot is a performing singer/songwriter from North Attleboro, MA. She currently performs as a solo artist, bringing her music to small venues, coffee houses, cafes, art galleries, and wineries throughout New England.

Marie began performing as a solo artist while attending college in western Massachusetts. Later she moved to Nashville, TN, where she continued to sing in clubs, but also worked as a session singer for other songwriters, and as a background vocalist. She worked with Ray Stevens, Billy Dean, and Stella Parton

After some personal tragedies, Marie moved back to Massachusetts, where she bought the home that used to belong to her grandparents. She raised her three children there, took care of her elderly parents until they passed away, and then began to pursue her original path as a singer/songwriter full steam ahead! She studied songwriting in Nashville with Beth Nielsen-Chapman and Mary Gauthier, and in Tuscany with Verlon Thompson, and in Scotland with Jonatha Brooke. Now she is back in MA and sings regularly with the SOS BigBand of RI, and continues to write and record original songs. In Sept. 2018, she will travel back to Nashville to finish up recording a new CD. Stay tuned!
